Remember back in the day when we had those disposable cameras at every table at wedding receptions and people went wild with them? Part of the fun was not knowing what pictures were taken and seeing them after they were developed! Hashtags are mainly used for Instagram and Twitter, although, Facebook tries to make this work, too! It is a perfect way to not only personalize your special event, but it also helps to keep all of your pictures together. Anyone who has an Instagram, Twitter or Facebook account can find the event pictures with ease. Everyone who uploaded a picture and added the hashtag in the caption would have added their photo to the group for all to see!
A great example from a young couple who just got hitched had a hashtag that made everyone chuckle. Their last name is Merimann. So, they made their hashtag, "#LetsbeMerimann"...as in, let's be merry, mannnn. Another young couple I know have the same initials. Their hashtag was, "#JPpartyof2". How adorable is that?!
